FMGreen Tips

In response to the growing concerns about climate change, also referred to as global warming, and its impact on the stability of our environment, Fogelman Management Group (FMG) has developed a Greencampaign to promote environmental awareness at each of our communities. This program is called FMGreen. With simple everyday life changes, we can improve the planet we share and each month, "Green" tips will be shared on this site.

Tips for a "Green" New Year:

*Believe it or not, Sustainable Fashion are two words that go hand in hand these days, and surprisingly this new breed of sustainable modern chic is well within the grasps of the general public . Giant retailers like Target are teaming together with well-known eco-friendly fashion designers, making sure that everyone can afford to be green from their head to their toes without sacrificing their sense of style of pocketbooks. This past April, in coordination with Earth Day, Target released their fashion line by Regan Gregory, a designer known for his work with sustainable fabrics.

*Grease recycling is good for the environment and reduces sanitary sewer problems. Grease recycling keeps our sanitary
sewer system flowing smoothly. You can help prevent sanitary sewer overflows caused by cooking grease blockages with three easy steps:

1. Pick up a free grease recycling container at any location throughout Mobile, or use your own leak-proof container.

2. Fill your container with used cooled cooking grease from your kitchen.

 3. Drop off your full container at any grease recycling location and pick up a new one.

*Recover from your food coma, then store the leftovers in healthy containers. Disposable storage materials are piling up in landfills faster than you can say "ziplock," and toxins in plastic are not healthy..
